Keroro's Quest Prologue: The Vision
Keroro's Quest: Prologue
A dull, red glow emitting from a veil of darkness and the swooshing of soft, rich robes was the only giveaway to that someone was moving through the shadows. A candle was lit on an oak wood desk illuminating a long roll of parchment accompanied by a bottle of jet-black ink that was currently propping up a hawk, feathered quill. The sound of a chair being pulled back and an unknown being taking a seat in it seemed to echo around the large room as if in the depths of a cold, earthy cave. This being was in fact a very important man, who practically held the world in the palm of his hand. He was known around all the provinces as Emperor Garuru, the worlds ruler who's word is law and will is absolute. A man who is highly loved and respected by all his people.
Once seated Garuru took hold of the now ink, soaked quill and pressed the tip of it to the top of the parchment, about to write what would be his last journal entry he would ever scribe.
Taking a deep shudderin
A Proposal (Chap. 8)Pururu let out a quiet groan as her eyes fluttered open. Her neck audibly cracked as she shifted and her legs felt as if they contained thousands of tiny needles. She attempted to stretch her back out, but found her movement impeded by a weight on her side. She glanced over to see Garuru leaning against her, fast asleep. She considered waking him up, but he looked so peaceful, she just leaned back against the cot and let him sleep. It was an odd sight to say the least. Even in her earliest memories, Garuru was always guarded and stoic. She'd never once seen him look like this. It brought a smile to her face.
Eventually, he began to stir. He sat up with a quiet grunt, his back popping as he moved. Pururu rubbed her arm in relief. "Good morning," she said quietly.
Garuru's head turned toward her, his expression rapidly returning to its normal fixed state. "Good morning," he replied. "How did you sleep?"
"I've slept better," Pururu replied, stretching as much as she could. "You?"
A Proposal (Chap. 7)"Don't worry, Pururu," Taruru said, saluting. "I'll take good care of the Lieutenant for you."
Garuru gave the younger frog a withering look. "I am quite capable of taking care of myself."
Pururu resisted rolling her eyes. "After we're in flight, I want to see you for a treatment session," she instructed the purple frog.
Garuru nodded. "Very well then. I will be along shortly."
With that, Taruru wheeled Garuru into the cockpit. Pururu shook her head, then set out to find the medical bay.
Less than a minute later, she located it near the very back. She walked inside and looked quickly around, taking it all in. Then she went over and adjusted the cots until they were just so. Next, she rummaged through the drawers and located a clipboard. As she jotted down some notes, she heard the door open behind her. "Who is it?" she asked.
"Me," Zoruru's voice replied.
She looked back at him. "Are you all right?" she asked.
"Yes," he said. "I've finished examining the ship, and my assistance isn't n
A Proposal (Chap. 6)Pururu let out a yawn as her eyes slowly opened. It took a moment for her senses to return, but when they did, she became extremely confused. She was lying on a cot in the medical bay, a thin blanket covering her. She slowly sat up, trying to remember how she’d gotten there.
“Good morning, Chief Medic.”
She jumped and sharply turned her head. Garuru was sitting with his back against the wall, his piercing eyes focused on her. The nurse felt her cheeks flush in embarrassment. “Good morning, Lieutenant.”
He shifted ever so slightly. “I apologize, but could you perhaps take a look at my injuries? I will need to go to the bridge soon and I want to ensure there will be no issues.”
“Of course,” she said, standing up. “Are any of them hurting you?”
His silence was the answer she needed. She put on a smile and found some medicine and clean bandages. After he laid on his stomach, she got to work. “Were you able to rest?
